Israeli-Palestinian Report

After World War Two, Britain like most countries were bankrupt and exhausted by six years of conflict with Germany and her allies.

The British withdrew from their mandate of Palestine. The atrocities committed on the Jewish population in Europe by the Nazis regime helped the cause to set-up a Jewish state. This led to the UN to partition the area into Arab and Jewish States, an arrangement rejected by the Arabs. The State of Israel was founded in 1948.

The present state of affairs between Israel and the Palestinian territories has not improved, and has had a variety of peace deals on the negotiation table over the years. These have at certain times cooled the conflict, but only for a short time.

The cycle of death has to end. The real victims are the young on both sides, who are taught and brought up on hate. The Palestinians haven’t had their say on what should happen, with the formation of a Palestinian State.

The militia in the Palestinian territories are persons mainly from other Arab countries, and should not be involved in Palestinian affairs. Most people want to live in peace.

Palestinians who live in squalor wish they have better houses, jobs, security, safety and a chance to prosper, and see future generations have the same benefits. On the other side Israeli’s want an end to suicide bombings, and other acts of aggression.

The suicide bombers are carefully picked by militia organisations and groups, in the Palestinian territories. The sons, daughters, husbands, wives, and the young blow themselves up for someone else’s cause and ideology. These militia’s from organisation and groups would never strap bombs around themselves, because they are cowards. With the twisted view of Islam it makes the act of suicide a right thing to do, even though it is a very big sin to commit suicide if you are a Muslim.

No-one asks the families if they like losing their loved-ones, by blowing themselves up.

What hasn’t helped the peace process are the militia organisations and groups, operating in the Palestinian territories, and neighbouring countries. On the other side Israelis demolishing Palestinian homes and forming Jewish settlements on Palestinian territory.

One question has to be asked, who benefits from this conflict? Huge amounts of money are made by manufacturer’s of military hardware. Those that are military minded, need conflict in order to be satisfied in their respective lives, thus conflict between Israelis and the Palestinians has not ended. In fact it could be stated that militia organisations and groups in the Palestinian territories are working with Israel in suppressing the Palestinian population. If these militia organisations and groups want to help the Palestinians then they should go to their respective countries and let the Palestinian’s be in charge of their own affairs.

This conflict has affected the world more than any other conflict since the World Wars’. Some could say that the formation of Israel shouldn’t have happened. The trouble is that without people moving forward and building a Palestinian State to become prosperous, and be part of the international community, then unfortunately peace will never exist.

Palestinians and Israelis do business despite the conflict going on around them. Other areas where Palestinians and Israelis are building bridges and breaking-down barriers are in sport, especially football and in the arts.

Militia organisations and groups that operate in the Palestinian territories hide behind the Palestinian population, state that if they do not create bloodshed then the world will not hear there cause. The media has got a huge responsibility in this area . Palestinians and Israelis, would benefit if the media reported on organisations and groups that benefited both sides in peaceful initiatives, rather than focusing on organisations and groups that commit crimes against humanity.
