Human Rights

Human rights are very important for the human race. Without human rights we have witnessed the campaign of persecution, discrimination and civil rights violations, at the hands of the worlds most infamous of leaders and oppressive regimes.

After World War II America set-up, with France being one of the founders of what is now the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights, which was adopted by the United Nations on the 10th December 1948, and was tirelessly promoted by Eleanor Roosevelt.

When we talk about human rights people often criticise human rights laws. But the main reason for this is because human rights has been misinterpreted, abused and ruined by criminals and terrorists in modern times. Human rights are for law abiding citizens to protect them against persecution.

When you address the issue of persecution, what does that mean? Well it doesn’t mean you can commit criminal offences against people, their property, or commit terrorist acts against citizens of countries and the infrastructure.

The solution to the problem of human rights laws being abused is, once an individual has been sentenced for their criminal or terrorist offence they should be under a penal human rights law. Basically a law that protects prisoners from abuse both mentally and physically, torture, and cruelty. They should have a right to a lawyer and appeal system but not have a system where the prisoner wants to get off of their criminal or terrorist offence, if they have been convicted with very safe and strong evidence. The usual line a criminal or terrorist comes-up with is that they shouldn’t be in prison. So the only tools they think of using, with the help of very good lawyers, are the human rights laws.

The United States of America carries out reports each year on every country around the world, on the abuses of people’s human rights. She is the champion that many countries do not exercise in reporting such abuses, which are not just poor countries but also western countries.

Many battles and struggles have existed to ensure that the human race has rights, in order to exist and live in peace, and that every nation on this planet abides by the same laws. That is why we have international institutions and organisations to protect human beings from persecution.

No man has the right to violate or deny anyone’s human right on this planet, which has been backed-up by people who rose to the challenge of putting themselves in danger and some were even assassinated for their commitment and love of mankind.
